Vintage Clear Acrylic Snare Drum similar to a Ludwig Vistalite. - *.
This snare drum appears to be 70’s era Rogers Hardware on a clear acrylic shell8 lug design. All correct Rogers hardware. Acrylic shell definitely dates to same era as the hardware.
Possibly a Rogers prototype Acrylic shell snare drum. In the 1970's, Ludwig was doing well with the Vistalites and other companies wanted to cash in on the fad. If this is the case, these are very rare. 5"x14" in Clear Acrylic
We are not 100% sure what we have here, but the lugs look similar to lugs found on a 1970's Rogers Powertone or
the Ludwig "Standard" drums from the 60s or 70s. We have had some
opinions that the hardware on this clear snare drum are similar to a
vintage "Kent" snare drum or vintage "Pearl" snare drum. Still it is a
pretty cool clear snare drum and looks great with a Ludwig Vistalite
Drum Set.
This is a Clear Acrylic Snare Drum similar to a Ludwig Vistalite Snare Drum. We got this clear acrylic snare with a Ludwig Clear Vistalite drum set. The drum is not a classic Ludwig Vistalite Snare drum. There is no badge and the drum head has the name "Dunkirk" on it. We are not sure what brand the drum is or where it came from.
The clear snare drum shell is in very good shape. There are no cracks and very few scratches . The chrome is good as well with some light rust, pitting and oxidation. It sounds really good and looks great under stage lights.
